Diddy Kong Joins Smash Bros. Brawl

It looks like we’ve missed a daily Smash Bros update. Of course you could draw the conclusion that nothing exciting must have happened today, but then you’d be sorely mistaken. We are quite fortunately on a streak of good updates (knock on wood), with two new Smash Bros. characters this month, and returning Peach just announced two days ago; another new character announcement seemed unlikely.

Diddy Kong joins the ever growing roster, and I must admit, was a character completely off my personal radar, but one that was sorely missed. Especially with Diddy making multiple appearances in other Nintendo multiplayer games, it’s a little surprising that it’s taken him this long to make his way into Smash Bros. While Donkey Kong holds brute strength, Diddy’s small size and flexibility throws him in a different Kong class. While some argue Mario and Luigi tend to overlap a little too much, you certainly won’t confuse these two Kongs.
