Mafia 2 Announced

2K Games has announced that Mafia 2 is in development. A sequel to the original that sold more than two million copies worldwide, Mafia 2 is being developed by Illusion Softworks, the guys behind the original, for next-gen consoles and PC.
Following on from the original, Mafia 2 features the mob underworld of a fictitious late 1940s to early 1950s scenario. “As the original Mafia was a big success, we are excited to leverage the power of next generation console technology to create an all-new experience, while embracing the elements that resonated with the previous game’s fans,” said Christoph Hartmann, President of 2K. “The ‘wow’ factor of Mafia 2 is definitely the benchmark-setting visual quality and action that you expect to see only in Hollywood movies.”

LOL, they did a great job on bioshock.. with the classic feeling of gun models and level designs. This looks amazing too, I just cant wait. Keep going 2k!!!

Yeah, isn’t it josh.. Did you like the godfather game? I thought that was great too. And they’re remaking that one too! Im glad to see 2k having a strong line up this time around.

TWM did you just say they are RE-MAKING the original???!! That’s great! I loved it (fav. mafia game ever), I keep wanting to replay it but for some reason my CD won’t install it on XP :’(
STILL, looks like I’ll be able to buy the remake, and #2. I can’t wait! No word on a release date though right? I’ll have to do the same thing I did with BioShock and just not pay any attention to it until a week before release.

aha, serves me right for not reading your post properly.
Oh well not to worry. Still haven’t played the Godfather yet, thought I’d get it on Wii but it just isn’t worth the AU$90 price tag.

im not a big vidiogamer but i bout the original on ps2 in 4th grade man this game made me do some crazy shit i just hope mafia 2 comes out on ps2 it would suck if it didnt
