The very first screenshots from Gearbox’s Borderlands have been released. An upcoming cooperative shooter, the game will let players freely join or leave each other’s games at anytime, or choose to play in the full single-player mode. It will feature customizable vehicles, real-time physics and more. Not much more is known about the game.

Borderlands is set for release during Holiday 2008 for PC, PS3 and Xbox 360. Hit the jump for two more screenshots.
