Killzone 2 Runs Only At 720p, 30 FPS

Killzone 2 is undoubtedly one the best looking game on the PS3, but with all the visual quality and effects, some sacrifices had to be made. As we learned at Leipzig Games Convention, Killzone 2 will only run at 30 fps in 720p, not 1080p as many had expected (and as Sony had promised for so many PS3 games). On the other hand, the game looks so good and is so detailed that it’s probably worth only getting 720p. And 30 fps.
Update: Several other sites, including IGN, confirm that it’s 720p/30fps only.

Hah! Yet another Sony promise flushed down the drain. Like I said they should have never opened their mouths on this issue and tried to attack the 360 about it in the first place. Now they are the ones looking stupid. Games that are capped at 30 fps … please.

As far as I recall, Sony never promise about 1080p for this game, and not to mention great game like Gear is running at 720p/30fps so its not really matter.

thundermare, yeah but M$ never claimed Gears would run 1080p 60 frames a second and talk trash about sony for only running 720 30 frames beforehand. there is a difference. see it? sony am fail.

The fact that you have halo in your name fails more than the 420. That being said, since this game looks amazing and better than any other FPS that I have played, I can live with the 720p.
