And now time for a tangent. We’ve suffered through the slow months, often only surviving thanks to the trickle of quality downloadable new and virtual titles for each system. Now that we are simply being slammed with this year’s massive titles, we have a sudden burst in demos. We can appreciate that demos can only be produced so far in advance, but why release them at a time when gamers are surely distracted with other offerings (Bioshock, Blue Dragon). Surely the target market being out of school for the summer, and dealing with the usual drought would have eaten up these offerings.
