Nokia Unveils N-Gage Gaming Platform

August 29th, 2007 by James Hyde in Business, Hardware, Online, Portable

Mobile phone maker Nokia is busy these days revealing a range of new products, including the successor to the N-Gage. The “N-Gage” is not what it used to be though, as it’s now a game service/platform which is available on several Nokia phones, including the flagship N95 and the newly revealed N81 (pictured above). The new service will be available in November, where users will be able to buy and download games to their phones, download demos, and interact with the online gaming community. Nokia plans to expand the platform beyond Nokia-made cellphones and devices.

better late than never, this’s where it all beginsfor nokia.
i’ve been ardent fan of n-gage since it’s launch in late 2003. it was a hybrid device though amassed
lot 0f popularity and people into gaming. i was a proud owner then. a year later with the launch of
another model qd looked like nokia is tryin to gather more gamers. it was good but not with a blunder
of leaving behind a stereo sound and a radio. this was something not digesting for people like me.
seriously nokia needs to think on it. we need more out of just gaming phone.
with the news around i feel this time nokia is trying to build the bridge between a gaming device and
    a complete phone.
    And ‘m highly anticipating it.
