ea-playground.jpgInstead of having kids go out and play and socialize in playgrounds, EA plans on making them stay glued to their TV sets playing a playground simulation. Yes, I’m talking about the very-evil EA Playground game, which has received a release date: October 23 in North America and November 2 in Europe. This Wii and DS game will feature an assortment of playground games including classics like dodgeball and tetherball, as well as some fantasy games like Kicks and Dart Shootout.

Making use of the unique control mechanics found on either Nintendo consoles, the game will let players in both single-player and multiplayer modes. It will include power-ups, collectables and more that can be earned through the single-player mode.

Those evil dudes at EA Canada are behind this game, which is part of the totally demonic axis of Skate, Army of Two and Boogie. If you care about your kid, let them go out and play.
