Asian MMO Market To Reach $2.5 Billion
September 5th, 2007 by James Hyde in Business, MMO, PC
Analysts from Pearl Research predict that the Asian MMO market will grow 20% this year (compared to last year), eventually reaching a staggering $2.5 billion. The report, called “Online Game Publishers in Asia”, also indicated that ten of the biggest publishers had revenues of over $100 million in 2006, a number that is expected to rise this year. Online gaming is widely popular in Asia, especially South Korea, where it has reached epic proportions over the past few years.
