Sony’s Dave Karraker Leaves

September 5th, 2007 Posted in Business, PSP, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3

Dave Karraker, Senior Director of Corporate Communications for Sony Computer Entertainment America (long title, eh?) has announced that he’s dumping Sony for Skyy Spirits, a vodka company. Karraker was usually the guy who would respond to rumors, denying them, or confirming, sometimes both. It was a tough job for Karraker and Sony’s PR department, looking back at the whole pre and post-launch PS3 ordeal of rumors/letdowns/lies (etc. etc.). And it won’t be any easier for Karraker’s successor, whoever that might might be.

Karraker is a good guy and really isn’t cut for that Sony job. Good to see he’s getting into something fun like Alcohol!

At least in that business he’ll have lots of satisfied customers to deal with!
