EMI Classics has collaborated with Video Games Live and IMG Artists to release an album celebrating some of the best known, most popular video game music of all time. Dubbed Video Games Live: Greatest Hits – Volume One, the compilation will highlight some of the best show segments, most of which have not been released previously. The album is set for release on October 15.

The volume will include medleys from major titles including Zelda, Mario, Halo, Warcraft, Sonic, Myst, Civilization IV and Final Fantasy, among many others. This anthology CD is being compiled by VGL co-creators Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall. It will feature performances from the Slovak National Orchestra as well as the Crouch End Chorus and Martin Leung, the video game pianist.
