Apparently, nowadays updating a game does not mean making it better, it also works the other way. Those playing BioShock and connected to Xbox Live were prompted to download an update for the game. The patch fixed a couple of small issues like an autosave bug, enemy AI, game stability, music bug and some other things. However, it has resulted in many getting constant freezing and stuttering issues.

Teams at 2K Games have said that they are working to fix the issues. However, it seems a solution has been found: a Shacknews member has reported that clearing the game’s cache gets rids of the problems. Details can be found in the corresponding Shacknews post.

It didn’t affect my game at all. But I am noticing that the splicers are indeed making great use of the health stations so hacking them is going to become really important for me on my fourth run through. Man I really like this game … much more than I thought I would .. I don’t even play the Darkness at all anymore and tbh I doubt I will … I am pretty sure I am going to trade that game in for either MP3 or credit towards my Halo Limited Edition set.

EA does the same crap with their games, more specifically BF2, and that got way worse than necessary.
