Sony should just have a custom developers package for homebrew like the itouch has. They would loose less money. People would be more busy with homebrew than commercial games and programs.

There are actually stories of people ripping ROMs of DS cartridges. They are far easier to get than PSP ISOs, although you need a flash cartridge to play them on DS, which is a good thing for Nintendo because they cost about £40 to even £80 here in the UK.

I think Sony might have had the idea that if they introduced UMD it'd be the only format the could be used in the PSP, forcing people to have to buy it. Unfortunately for them and fortunately for everyone else there is always people who can find a way around it.

How come there aren't any stories of someone hacking into the DS? I'd like to read about them if there are any.

sony is uptight about homebrew and custom firmware because people can get free games and anything they want they can have so sony is losing lots of money because they make all the umd disks but no body buys them and that means sony makes no money because people dont need there crapy umds if they have homebrew or custom firmware...but if sony was smart they would stop making umds and hire people to make the best homebrew and custom firware and charge money for it couze im shure people would pay is it was good enough but...no thay would rather go bankrupd i guess...just my opinion...

Why is Sony so against home brew? I mean at least people are using the PSP for something.
