It is Uwe Boll time again! The infamous director has acquired the rights for the film adaptation of Legend: Hand of God, an upcoming action-RPG from German studio Master Creating. This is Boll’s first time doing a movie of a game that is yet to be released: the game doesn’t hit stores until early 2008 in the US, though it will be available in Germany this October.
“I think Legend will be very successful because of its unique blend of high fantasy and dark atmosphere,” he said. “The world of Legend contains major crossover potential and was already adapted as novel and audio book.”
The film has a budget of approximately $40 million, with filming set to begin in 2009. Boll’s next flick to hit theatres is Postal, which will be released later this month. He is currently butchering Far Cry which will be released next year.
