Colin McRae Dies In Helicopter Crash

Scottish rally driver Colin McRae, who’s name has appeared on five Colin McRae Rally games, has died in a helicopter crash close to his home in Lanarkshire. McRae was piloting the helicopter which went down due to a unknown failure, killing him, his five year old son Johnny, and two family friends. McRae was a world recognized rally driver, winning the World Championship in 1995 and currently holds the record for most wins in the Rally Championship. He was 39 years old.

    My heart goes out to hisa family … when something like this happens to someone who is only 39 it really makes you appreciate life all the more. This is really a tragedy … I still can’t believe it. He had so much to look forward to, … it is such a shame.

    I loved his Rally games. Spent countless hours trying to master the techniques on the PSX. It’s a shame.
