Retail Orange Box Gets Steamy Deal

Half-Life 2 LogoGameStop and Valve have announced that gamers who pre-order the retail edition of the Orange Box, a compilation of all Half-Life 2 titles as well as Team Fortress 2 and Portal, will receive the same deal as their Steam counterparts – instant access to the Team Fortress 2 beta that is currently going on. The deal also includes the 10% discount on the compilation’s $50 price tag, as well as Peggle, a casual game that Valve threw in for good measure.

The discount also applies to those who pre-order the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of the game, which carry higher price tags. The promotions runs will the game’s release on October 10.

    I purchased the orange box through Steam and have been playing Team Fortress 2 until my eyes look like brake lights. it’s nice to see them continue the deal for the retail as well.
