HL2 Orange Box Gone Gold

September 27th, 2007 by James Hyde in Action, FPS, Multiplayer, PC

orangeboxYep, you read it right, Half Life 2: The Orange Box has gone gold. Gold. Off to the production lines. For real. The “box” has been delayed several times, for almost a year, but none of that matters now, as the game has gone gold. Did I mention it went gold?

The Oragne Box includes Half Life 2, HL2: Episode 1, HL2: Episode 2, Team Fortress 2 and Portal. It will be released on October 9 in the U.S., and 10 days later in Europe.

Who cares by now … All I kind of want is Episode 2. The other stuff I have either played or it does not interest me in the least.

Me too, I only want EP2… but that alone will costs you $40 on Steam… (rip off, cough, cough).

Orange box is a fairly good deal though, you’re getting 5 games for not as much as you’d normally pay for 1.

Note: measurements for print are exact; if your photo is 300 dpi and 1 inch square, it will be printed to be exactly 1 inch square. If you print it at 72 dpi and 1 inch square it will still be exactly 1 inch, but will have less detail. Measurements for the Web are relative because they are determined by your display. On my Dell there are 77 pixels in an inch, while on my Mac there are 98 pixels in an inch. Your display may be different. As a rule of thumb I just use 72 (which was common for most monitors…
