When Nintendo boss Reggie Fils-Aime said that they couldn’t keep up with the massive demand for the Wii this holiday season, he wasn’t undermining the demand any bit. In home territory Japan, Nintendo is continuing to dominate the market, selling 1.6 million Wii units from April to September, outselling the main rival PS3 by a quite large margin, as the PS3 only managed to sell 385,000 units. Over the past six months, the Wii has been outselling the PS3 4-to-1. Xbox 360 on the other hand, was outsold by the PS3 5-to-1, and a whooping 25-to-1 by the Wii.
