Try Your Skillz at DJing
October 2nd, 2007 by Rajiv Ashrafi in PC, PlayStation 3, Xbox360
Following up on the craze of games like Guitar Hero and Beatmania, independent developer Playpen Studios has revealed Skillz, an “original Nightclub DJ game” that will have players scratching to the beat.
The game, as said above, has players spinning away with a special turntable controller. However, unlike similar games, Skillz will allow players to mix and match their own music instead of playing along with pre-determined beats and patterns.
It will offer a single-player mode, a two-player battle mode, a freestyle mode, and online functionality to allow players to share their mixes.
The game is expected to hit PC and consoles sometime next year, though no specific consoles were mentioned.
