4702c0e2d9fd2_featured_without_text_blacksite Midway, having announced a delay to Unreal Tournament 3, has revealed that Blacksite: Area 51, the spiritual sequel to the alien-shooter, will be delayed slightly on the PS3, though the PC and Xbox 360 versions will be released on November 5. The PS3 version will be released just three weeks after the other versions.

The company also revealed that it expects to sell 1.5 million copies of Stranglehold, which hit PC, PS3 and Xbox 360 a few weeks ago. The game used Unreal Engine 3 and is a sequel to John Woo’s classic action film.

Well to date Stranglehold has sold 266K units on the 360 in the U.S. alone. Maybe the PS3 version can generate some major sales figures but I tend to doubt it … I don’t know how the PC version is doing and I wonder how it is doing in Asian countries where Chow Yun Phat is popular but man 1.5 million is their target for this game … good luck … don’t get me wrong it is not a bad game but it gets pretty repetitive and sometimes the enemies are really cheap shots and spawn right behind you with shotguns.
