Battlefront sends word that they are looking for beta testers for HisWar: Les Grognards, an upcoming wargame by Jean-Michael Mathe, that is nearing completion after nearly 10 years of research and development.

It is set in the Napoleonic era and puts players in charge of a Napoleonic army on the battlefields on the early 19th century. It will enter its final beta stage this month and will be released pretty soon. Testers are required to have knowledge about the military in the era and be available for the next 3 months, and have a good broadband connection.

I have a son, 14 years, that has been playing all types of computer and gaming systems since he was two. Normally, on a game system, he beats the game in 12 hours to 1 week. He likes the online gaming where he can “level up” so he can “keep playing.” Anyhow, I can’t keep him off the damn computer. He’s on it 7-11 hours a day. If he could get paid, it would be wonderful. What do I do to get him in on this stuff? He also wants to go to college to be a game developer.

Oh, by the way, I’m not s of all he has played. These are familiar. Warcraft, World of Warcraft, Cabal and he has an Xbox 360 and PS3.
