No Individual Rock Band Instruments This Year

If this report from thebbps is to be believed, Rock Band will only be available in a bundle form this year, with instruments not being sold individually until 2008. The site claims that it has spoken to a Harmonix representative, who has explained that shipping the three separate instruments at launch would cause availability issues and that limited shelf space would force retailers to cut back on the stock of the overall bundle.

The bundle itself includes a guitar, drum kit and microphone; gamers will still need one additional guitar to form the full band. Rock Band will be released on PS3 and XBox 360 on November 23 for $169.99. A PS2 version will also be released for $159.99 on December 10.
