PS3 Now $399

October 17th, 2007 Posted in Featured, News, PlayStation 3

If you’ve been holding off to purchase a PS3 now may be the perfect opportunity. Sony recently announced that there will be a 40 GB version of their console that will go on sale Nov. 2nd priced at $399, that’s cheaper than an Elite which runs around $450. While there is still a ways to go before Sony will introduce a X360 Core rival and hit that less than $300 hot spot but this is definitely a step in the right direction. Sony introduced the 40 GB PS3 in United Kingdom last week and saw an increase of 178% in sales, so a similar sales increase is not unlikely in North America.

Headed in the right, I’ll give them that. But what we need are games. Oh wait, MGS4, GTA IV, Killzone 2. Right…
