MC Frontalot to Rap in Penny Arcade

The upcoming oddly-named Penny Arcade game will feature an original song by nerdcore rapper MC Frontalot, according to an announcement made by Hothead Games, the developers, today.

“Penny Arcade and MC Frontalot have a longstanding friendship,” said Vlad Ceraldi, Hothead’s president. “Frontalot’s ‘Penny Arcade Theme’ has become a nerdcore classic, and we’re sure his new song will be an awesome addition to ‘On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness.’”

MC Fonrtalot is the pioneer of a subgenre of rap music called nerdcore hip-hop, which, as the name implies, focuses on nerd and geek stuff. He has earned a devoted audience and his two retail albums have sold quite well.

The first episode of the Penny Arcade game will be released on PC, Mac, and Xbox 360 later this year.
