Nintendo to Drop Support of Older Consoles

October 18th, 2007 Posted in News, Wii by Jeff Baker

nintendoIt comes at no surprise that Nintendo would drop support for the NES which was released over 20 years ago and along with the NES goes support for the N64, Super NES, Gameboy, and Gameboy Pocket. While this probably won’t affect many people it is definitely a step in the right direction as Nintendo will begin putting 100% of it’s focus on it’s more recent consoles – Wii, DS, Gamecube, and GBA.
