Guitar Hero Recordings to be Released

Ahead of Guitar Hero 3’s release later this month, WaveGroup, the studio which produced the song recordings for the Guitar Hero series of games, announced that they will release all recordings for digital download on October 23. The recordings include songs from Guitar Hero 1, 2 and Rocks the 80s. They will be available on music download sites including AOL, iTunes, Napster, Rhapsody and Yahoo.

WaveGroup virtually produced all the music for the aforementioned games. They also worked closely with Harmonix and Red Octane to develop the original playable guitar parts. To optimize the gameplay, the group performed enhanced versions of songs, adding guitar solos, custom endings, and more. A full list of recordings can be found here.
