Orange Box Ousts Halo 3
October 21st, 2007 by Jeff Baker in News, Xbox360With Valve’s latest collection of games, including Team Fortress 2, recently hitting shelves it’s no surprise they would sell well, but just how good no one was sure of. Well, the week has come to a close and the numbers are in. According to VGChartz, HL2: The Orange Box has managed to outsell Halo 3 - HL2: The Orange Box sold 348,049 units while Halo 3 managed to push 285,860. While this is wonderful news for Valve we all have to remember that of the 3,482,376 units of Halo 3 sold, 2,634,108 of them were sold in the first week.

And this was surprising why? I mean c’mon .. that was the first week of the Orange Box and Halo 3 had already been out for two weeks. Let’s put this into proper perspective shall we.
the 1st week sales for the Orange box was - 348K compared to 2.6 Million … then when you look at the second week for Halo 3 you see that it moved 562K units … so even a week later it blew the Orange box out the water. We all know that you don’t increase sales the next week … they always take a pretty big plummet from the debut so you know that Orange box will only decline. I doubt that it moves 200K its second week and here it is the 3rd week for Halo 3 and it did 285K. The numbers will be out by Thursday so we will see then.

WTF, if you’re aspiring to become a journalist you could at least use correct grammar

Josh man, why you always a hater. People always attack others over grammar. Grammar doesn’t always make you smart or if you can’t use it right, meaning you’re dumb. Look at henry ford? He couldn’t read or write, he was smart enough to get people around him that knew how. Still, good news on the orange box, good to see the PC still alive. Now, let’s see how well crysis does on
PC,360 and PS3. I see it selling just as many copies as halo 3 and hl2….
