Haze To Feature Original Song By Korn
Ubisoft announced today that they will be teaming up with Korn for the upcoming FPS Haze for the PS3. The hard rock band headed by Johnathan Davis will be creating an original song that will be featured along with the game. The single will bear the same name as the video game and will be released in November to coincide with the release of the game. This isn’t quite as unique an arrangement as Ubisoft’s press release states, as Halo 2 featured several songs by popular bands and Mechassault 2 featured a pop rock song while fighting a certain boss.
Given the massive success of more symphonic pieces from games like Halo why does every company stick with the idea that the only kind of music that accompanies games well is hard rock? Secondly, Korn? Come on Ubisoft, pick someone relevant and talented, like Isis or maybe Mastodon.
