SCEE Employee To Blame For Manhunt 2 Leak
October 22nd, 2007 by Erich Jurgens in News, PlayStation 2
While the official Manhunt 2 game had to be put on hold in order to edit it down to an M rating, there has been an unaltered PlayStation 2 version floating around in Europe since summer, as you may know. It’s now been several months since this happened, and after all this time a finger has finally been pointed. The person in question is a employee of Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe. The employee has since been fired. After some prodding from GamePolitics, Take-Two had this to say:
“Take-Two Interactive has confirmed that a former employee of Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) has acknowledged his responsibility for the unauthorized online distribution of an unrated play-test version of Manhunt 2 submitted for the European PAL PlayStation 2 computer entertainment system.”
Quite frankly the immaturity of the SCEE employee’s actions is just disappointing. You would assume that people in that position would know better, but apparently not.

Wow … how stupid can you get. He deserved to be fired. You just don’t do stuff like that and he had a great job in the industry … I bet he won’t be working in gaming anytime soon.

It says right on the article that he was fired: “The person in question is a employee of Sony Computer Entertainment of Europe. The employee has since been fired”
