India is becoming a major power in the global economy, and is ripe for a development studio right now. EA seems to think so too, as a representative of the company noted to GamesGuru that they are looking into setting up a games studio in the country. “India clearly is one of the countries that is being studied for future potential to set up a studio,” said Ajay Khanna at a recent EA event in the country. “As of now, we don’t have any firm plans, but when we do have, they will have an announcement.”EA already has offices in the region and publishes games in the country. Khanna also noted that the company is looking to localize and tailor its content towards Indian tastes in the future.
