According to a Pro-G interview with Chris Taylor, the designer behind Supreme Commander, a Xbox 360 version of the game may be in development, as Taylor considers it “the platform of choice for moving stuff from the PC.”
The massive-scale PC RTS would be quite an undertaking, which Taylor acknowledges when asked with the difficulty of porting strategy games to consoles. “We’re getting closer and closer to that touchdown,” he said. “We may be a few more iterations of the UI and interface before we get there.”
Following this, Shacknews received word straight from the man himself, who suggested that an external studio is handling the translation and that an announcement is imminent.
“We’ll have a more official announcement coming in the next day or so… let’s see if you can guess who it is… they have been around about as long as we have, share the same core values as we do, and have really great people who love games. It’s hard to keep the secret, but we’ll send an official press release out soon. And yes, SupCom is coming to the console!”
