UK Getting ‘Family Friendly’ Xbox Bundle

October 23rd, 2007 Posted in Business, News, Xbox 360

With the holiday season fast approaching (and the holiday shopping season even closer) Microsoft has unveiled a new Xbox 360 bundle they’ll be selling in the UK. It’s likely that their intention is to trim away some of the customers for the Nintendo Wii, given the consoles reputation for family friendliness– a long-standing reason for Nintendo’s success. Or possibly they’re banking on lots of parents getting their kids an Xbox because all the stores will be sold out of Wiis. The package comes complete with the expected console, wireless controller and 256mb memory card in addition to five xbox live arcade games and HDMI output. The bundle is called “The Xbox Arcade” and will be the first non-elite system to have HDMI outputs as standard. The included games are: Pac-Man Championship Edition, UNO, Luxor 2, Boom Boom Rocket and Feeding Frenzy. The console will retail for 199.99 GBP
