Ninja Gaiden 2 Details

October 24th, 2007 Posted in Action, News, Xbox 360

For those of us who played the original Xbox version of Ninja Gaiden and don’t own a PS3, Ninja Gaiden Sigma came as a horrible taunt from Tecmo. There is some good news for we proud Xbox 360 owners with Ninja Gaiden 2 on the horizon. The game looks good and will definitely quench anyone’s thirst for blood. Not only will the ability to hack off limbs and other body parts be visually appealing, if you press the Y button immediately after hacking off an extremity, Ryu will perform a series of killing moves known as an “Obliteration technique”. The enemy AI will also be beefed up as well, with your foes being able to work together to perform combo moves. There is also news of a rival ninja you will come into contact with, although whether he’ll be your main opponent is unknown. Ryu will travel to real-world locations in his fight against evil, with Tokyo, Venice and Times Square in New York City being a few highlights on his trip. Unfortunately even Ryu’s ninja abilities won’t be able to keep him from getting immensely frustrated by crowds of tourists as he attempts to negotiate that part of the Big Apple.  The only bad news (and it’s a doozie) is that there’s no multiplayer mode planned for the game.

Boy this game is so good looking … it is rivaled only by DMC4 at the moment … which is pretty interesting considering these are the two deepest and most difficult Action games ever developed for modern consoles. I only hope that there is an easy mode for both games they look so good. Unfortunately for me I never really got good at either one but hopefully the lure of the dollar is too much for these companies and they made the games so even casual gamers won;t get too frustrated.

NG2 will be kickass. DMC4 will also be kickass. Two kickass action games next year… *head explodes*
