Freestyle Street Basketball Goes Free

A premium upgrade subscription is no longer required to play Freestyle Street Basketball, Sierra Online announced today, as the MMO sports game is now completely free to play. All 45 levels of the game, a fast-paced PC basketball title, is now free to play for old and new players alike, having ballers meet up on virtual courts to challenge each other in dynamic pick-up games. It also features various basketball moves, fashions and “cutting-edge” music.

“FreeStyle Street Basketball has been well received by gamers and we’re pleased with the success of the game thus far,” said Ed Zobrist, President, Sierra Online. “We’ve built a solid audience and moving to a free model allows us to maximize future growth.”

Within the game, players can use “points” and purchase “bills” to expand their skills and customize their characters. These can be used to purchase existing items or 60+ new items ranging from Halloween costumes to other unusual apparel.
