Midway Offices Evacuated Due to Wildfires
The wildfires in Southern California continue to raze the landscape, as people are being evacuated from the area. They have scorched more than 400,000 acres of land and have caused injuries to almost a hundred people.The blazes have also affected the business in the area, as a Midway spokesperson has confirmed that all employees at the publisher’s San Diego office have been evacuated.
“Our San Diego office has been evacuated and the majority of Midway’s staff out there is working from home. We hope to have the office back open by the end of the week, but it all depends on the situation. Our thoughts are with them,” he said.
The company hopes that the situation will not have any impact on their product schedule. Development of games are currently going on from home, added the spokesperson.
Midway has offices in San Diego, Los Angeles, Seattle, Austin, Germany and London.
