Crysis Demo Lands Tomorrow

After delaying the demo for a month, EA has now finally announced that the Crysis single player demo will be available tomorrow, or in 20 hours, to be precise. However, if you pre-ordered the game, you can download the demo right now. Strange of EA to let those who have already bought the game to play the demo… kind of defeats the purpose. Anyway, start over clocking your systems, the demo lands soon and the game lands on November 15.

I’ve been playing the UT3 demo as well for a while, and I’m very impressed how smooth the game runs on high settings, even on medium spec. PCs. Very big plus. Let’s see how Crysis does.

Same, I’ve been playing crysis all day yesterday. I probably played the demo 3-5 times, the people just look so real to life in dx10. I could play on high too with a 8800 gts. it’s so cool to shoot trees and wild life.
Do you guys remember playing games in the jungle? It just didn’t feel like a jungle? A couple of trees, not enough grass, just not enough of anything. Wait till you see what crysis holds, just becasue of the technology from crysis and far cry 2.. we’re in a treat in the future.

Well I get really fantastic frames using just the medium settings with DX10 and it looks great. Now I am not using any AA though so I know once I appy that it will run slower. However, I am getting great frames running at 1680×1050 and yes the game is amazing looking.
Wicker Man I am not sure that FarCry 2 will look this amazing … I don’t think it is using the same engine … I know it is coming from Ubisoft and has nothing to do with Crytek this time around.

James just keep in mind the UT3 demo does NOT use the high res textures … so you are not really running the game at its max settings. I just hope that once the retail version ships that I can still get good frames even with the settings mostly on high.

I dunno Anu, Far cry 2 looks exactly the same. Go to gametrailers.com and look up the 13 min trailer, trust me it’s gonna rock.
