PS2 Celebrates Seventh Birthday

October 27th, 2007 Posted in Business, News, PlayStation 2

PlayStation 2 has tuned seven, and during those seven years, it has become the best selling games console of all times. The PS2 was released on October 26 in North America, followed by a European release a month later. Since then, over 120 million units have been sold worldwide, with over a billion games sold to date. Unlike the GameCube and Xbox, the PS2 is still in production (the Slim edition), and still has considerable sales, selling around half a million units worldwide, every month.
