Wii VC Gift Giving Feature On The Way

Although the Wii wont be seeing a price cut this holiday season, Nintendo is still encouraging people to spend their money on Nintendo products. How do they plan to do this if no extra Wiis can be found? Simple, by letting Wii owners buy Virtual Console games, for other people.
“With a few clicks, a user will be able to select a game to send as a gift to another user online. When the recipient accepts, the Wii automatically launches the shopping channel and begins the download.”
Iwata believes that by adding this feature Wii owners will be more inclined to encourage their friends to download fun games from the Virtual Console, or even convince people that haven’t connected their Wiis to the internet to do so.

Hahah! if it makes you feel better, i don’t mind giving you a VC game on your birthday. I do, however mind entering in friend codes.
