Great Battles of the Middle Ages Coming Soon to a PC Near You
History buffs can look forward to the Great Battles of the Middle Ages, an upcoming game which is being developed by Slitherine in partnership with The History Channel. The game follows the success of the Great Battles of Rome game, with the new engine optimized for next-generation consoles and set for release sometime next year.
The new title, as can be figured out, is based on the story of the Hundred Years War and will feature a completely new graphic engine and a totally new game play system that allows players to be in charge of massive armies. It will integrate film clips from The History Channel programming library.
“The success of THE HISTORY CHANNEL Great Battles of Rome was the result of close collaboration between Slitherine Strategies and THE HISTORY CHANNEL,” added Carrie Trimmer, Director of Licensing at A&E Television Networks, parent company of The History Channel. “The combination of an innovative game engine and contextual programming content made for truly experiential gameplay. We anticipate even greater success with this new title.”
