Super Mario Bros. 3 on Wii

November 5th, 2007 Posted in Action, News, Wii by Rajiv Ashrafi

Waiting for Super Mario Galaxy to drop next week? You can whet your Mario appetite with Super Mario Bros. 3, considered to be one of the greatest games of all time that is now available on the Wii Shop Channel. Purchasable for 500 Wii points, the NES game has been ported over to the console, offering all the content from the classic game, as well as additional mini-games.

Other additions to the Virtual Console service this week are Alien Soldier and Power Golf. The former is a Sega Genesis game – 900 Wii points – having players take on the role of a genetically engineered alien soldier against the bad guys in a side-scroller. Power Golf, as the name implies, is a TurboGrafx16 game that offers 18 holes in one of three different game modes – one single-player and two multiplayer modes. There are also other various modes.
