The multiplayer aspect of Unreal Tournament 3, which is the whole point of the game, is powered by GameSpy’s technology, Epic today announced via a press release. Epic says GameSpy will provide multiplayer match-ups, in-game messaging, stats, rankings, and VoIP chat. Earlier this year GameSpy announced that it was partnering with Epic to provide customized multiplayer software for Unreal Engine 3 powered games, so it’s no surprise that UT3 is one of the first ones to use the technology.
