It’s always a bad sign when rats are leaving the ship, but when the captain runs off as well you know there’s some serious hard times ahead. Atari is sadly at risk of going out of business due to depletion of their finances and yesterday it was announced that their CEO has left the company. Control has been handed over to Atari’s Chief Restructuring Officer Curtis G. Solsvig III for the time being. The former CEO David Pierce signed on with the company back in September 2006 which was another hard time for Atari financially. Sadly enough it seems that under Mr. Pierce’s care the company wasn’t able to truly recover and we may be looking at the retirement of a classic name in gaming.
