Geometry Wars: Galaxies Gets Street Date

Sierra Entertainment has announced that Geometry Wars: Galaxies will be available in stores throughout the UK on January 18 for the Wii and DS. The game ups the other versions by adding warp speed with masses of enemies, more than 60 planets, bigger power-ups and a brand new Battle Drone that helps players go through the campaign mode. Additionally, the game will let players battle across a variety of planets in multiplayer mode.

“We are excited to provide in Geometry Wars: Galaxies more than 60 times the amount of content than Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved, with new levels, controls, weapons and enemies,” said Al Simone, senior vice president, global marketing for Sierra Entertainment.

Geometry Wars on the Wii and DS can also be linked together through Wi-fi to unlock bonus levels. Additionally, players can download a full, free version of Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved by using the GameShare system to have the Wii link with the DS.
