Unreal Tournament 3 Soundtrack Coming
It appears that Epic Games did not skimp on the aural aspects of Unreal Tournament 3, as Sumthing Else announces that it will release the soundtrack of the game as a 2-disc set. Set for release on November 20, the soundtrack features over 150 minutes of new tracks written and produced by “Need for Speed” veteran Rom Di Prisco and popular videogame composer Jesper Kyd, who has most notably worked on Hitman.
The soundtrack includes a diverse range of modern electronic genres representing the game’s various environments in addition to a number of remixed Unreal franchise classics. There are elements of breakbeat, bigbeat, drum-n-bass, hardcore and dance beats and surreal sci-fi to satisfy electronica lovers’ senses.
“Unreal Tournament 3’s soundtrack largely consists of high intensity fast paced action tracks which provides the drive to match the title’s relentless gameplay style,” said Mike Larson, Audio Director at Epic Games. “Both composers Rom Di Prisco and Jesper Kyd are new to the Unreal franchise contributing a fresh electronic sound in addition to breathing new life into a number of UT classics which were completely re-recorded with modern sensibilities.”
