Seriously, Nintendo of America needs to get their act together and bring Club Nintendo over to North America. Last year the exclusive Tingle’s Balloon Fight on the Nintendo DS was certainly more exciting than our free Wii remote jackets and thickened Wii remote straps. But this year Nintendo of Japan has simply outdone themselves, with a choice between a few select gifts, two of which featured above would an awfully hard decision to come between.
The first less than stellar option is a Club Nintendo desk calendar, easily skipable when we reach our other options. The second is a two-disc Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack; anyone who has dived into Mario Galaxy knows the orchestrated classic Mario songs belong in any music collection. The third and my favourite option is a Classic controller for playing VC games that has been shaped into a SNES pad. Now that’s gaming in retro style!
Moral of the story, move to Japan or hit up ebay to get your hands on these hot items. Or write an angry letter to Nintendo of America, which may very well do the trick as well.
