Sony seems to finally have hit their stride with the PS3. The new model with a 40 gig hard drive, less USB ports, no backwards compatibility and most importantly a lower price tag at 39,980 yen (about $340 American). Maybe it’s the price drop, maybe it’s the new ceramic white option but the console is selling like electronic hotcakes. The sales in Japan last week show the PS3 outselling the Wii by over twenty thousand units.  Sales of the Sony console tripled from last week’s sales of 17,434 to an impressive 55,924.
