Super Mario Galaxy has sold over half a million copies in its first week in North America. According to Nintendo, it’s the fastest selling Wii game, and the fastest selling Mario game of all time. It’s no surprise, the game has received great reviews from pretty much everyone, so great that it’s the highest rated game on GameRankings, knocking Zelda Ocarina of Time off the top spot. When it was released in Japan, it sold over 250,000 copies in its first week. Total sales as of today are most likely well over a million, even though it was released in Europe just last Friday.
