From the sold-out department comes word of depressed Holiday shoppers who have failed to find a Wii on Amazon, let alone in retail stores. CVG reports that the world’s largest online store ran out of its 1,400 unit stock in just ten minutes, leaving many shoppers shocked and disappointed.
This has resulted in many resorting to the blackmarket - ebay and Craigslist, to be specific - where they are ripping off customers by charging double for a family-friendly console.
Christmas will be a tough fight for Wii shoppers this year. Well, there are always the Wii’s ignored cousins - PS3 and Xbox 360.
