Guildhall Launches New Website
The best place to study for aspiring game developers, The Guildhall at Southern Methodist University has launched a new website offering detailed information about its graduate level, professional videogame development program.
“Although we wish everyone could just come by SMU and visit our program, we realize our web site is our main communications vehicle with the outside world,” Dr. Peter Raad, founder and executive director, The Guildhall at SMU, said. “That’s why we made our new web site customizable for the individual visitor.”
The website’s content is customizable by prospective student, high school senior, game industry professional or alumni. It also offers even more details about the program itself.
“We have had numerous requests from the industry to provide more efficient ways they could communicate with our students and alumni,” Dr. Raad added. “With the escalating demand for the best talent, our students and alumni are highly sought after. We expect industry leaders will want to share their views on our Guildhall Journal blog and find ways to work closer with our program.”
The Guildhall program offers its students a Master of Interactive Technology in Digital Game Development or a Professional Certificate in Digital Game Development in seventeen months. It has over a hundred graduates now, most of whom are working in major studios around the country.
