A man from San Diego is suing Microsoft because the game he purchased, Halo 3, causes his Xbox 360 console to continuously crash. The plaintiff claims that the problem is widespread and that many gamers are experiencing exactly the same issues, saying that Microsoft is breaching consumer protection laws. He wants the suit to get a “class action” status, plus some unspecified damages.
It is known that Xbox 360s are prone to crash while playing any game, not just Halo 3. As a result, Microsoft recently extended the Red Lights of Death warranty to three years.
