Wii’s Virtual Console Makes Over $30 Million

It seems like Nintendo’s policy of releasing new Virtual Console titles every week has paid off because since it’s release it has managed to net 7.8 million downloads which totals 3.5 billion Yen or over $30 million in profit. Not bad considering all Nintendo is doing is re-releasing games in a virtual rather than physical form. $30 million is a lot, yeah, but let’s see how much that number jumps when Nintendo starts releasing original titles over it’s Virtual Console like Microsoft is doing with its XBLA.
